유대인들은 안식일 외의 다른 날에 예배 드릴 수 있는가?

Re: moving the Sabbath observance to a different day.
Basically, the answer is no -- the Sabbath is the Sabbath and that isGod-determined.
BUT as Jews were given the opportunity to be part of Western society, observance of the Sabbath was deeply challenged. Europe and America thenoperated on a six day work-week, and if one were to have a real job orattend European schools, then one could not observe the Sabbath strictlyor at all. This resulted in many compromises on the private level andsome on the official level.
Orthodox synagogues implemented an early service that unofficiallyallowed men (not women in those days, either in the synagogue or in thework place, often) to go to work afterwards. Some Reform synagogues did make Sunday their major day of worship. Avery few presented this as a Sabbath service. Others maintained aSaturday Sabbath service but had a Sunday weekday service that includeda major sermon or lecture. This has almost entirely fallen by thewayside, especially as people no longer need to go to lectures to havesome entertainment.
